The LOF Academy story
Founded in 2019, DaWanda Burrus, known as "Ms. Wanda," envisioned a private school where K-12 students could feel safe and have their individual talents nurtured. Originating as a daycare in Coats, NC, and expanding to Erwin and Dunn, Ms. Wanda dreamed of a traditional school campus with a non-traditional twist. LOF Academy opened in 2025 with a tailor-made curriculum accessible to all students, partnering with Acellus Academy to provide accredited online schooling that includes on campus, hybrid, and 100% virtual options. We aspire to continued growth and expansion.
